This morning I saw a Posting on how “Poppy” Cummins, the Steelhead Guru and owner of the Red Shed Fly Shop on the Clearwater River, is ordering Bumper Stickers saying, “No Hero Shots, Keep ‘Em Wet” and I “Liked” it. It made me think of all the terrible fish handling photos we see all over the internet. So let’s make it a point to always give the fish the respect and water that they deserve. They don’t need to be squeezed or dragged onto the rocks or boat decks or pushed out towards cameras to distort their size. Hopefully we can all work together to move the needle in the right direction.
