The clear cold waters of Silver Creek can produce some of the best fishing in the country as well as some of the most frustrating days of trying to catch them. The lush aquatic growth promotes incredible hatches with multiple complex hatches happening simultaneously. Beatis, PMD's, Calibeatis and midges are some of the dominant insects through the summer. Evenings will bring out Caddis. Scuds, Damsel, and terrestrials will also produce some nice fish and are a good go to when the hatch is not on. Long leaders and fine tippets are the order of the day unless you happen to be offering up a damsel or hopper then bump up the tippet size and hang on. Here is a nice 20" brown who decided to have a damsel for lunch.
