Lake Erie and Lake Ontario Tribs

From: 10/27/2016

Type of Water: Freshwater
Species: Steelhead, Brown trout
After a long summer and a dry start to fall, we have finally had a few rainy days here in western New York. The creeks and rivers rose quite a bit toward the end of last week. Over the weekend and the beginning of this week, dropping water levels and clearing visibility lead to some excellent fishing for fresh run steelhead and a few lake run browns. As I type this, rain is again moving through the area. Look for the bigger watersheds to blow out again for at least a few days. Smaller creeks should fish well again with the fresh shot of water.
