Guided two great guys for Wild Trout On April 3, 2017. We were fishing on Spring Creek near the town of Bellefonte, Pa. The weather was partly cloudy, high temps were low 60's and light winds.
Fisherman #1 was a very accomplished fishermen and he wanted to throw streamers so I put him in a nice long run where he could fish the way he wanted. I helped fisherman #2 set up his rod and I put a tandem nymphing rig on that I have a lot of success with. After a brief tutorial I got him underway nymphing a productive riffle and it was't long before they were both hooked up with their first Spring Creek Wild Brownies.
Throughout the day both fishermen caught many fish on both set ups and the grand finally was a nice Grannon Caddis hatch that produced a bunch of fish on dry flies.
