Not all of CDC hackles are suitable for the purpose, are usable only those that have the fibers that reach the tips of hackles.
This condition allows you to tie on the hook the tips of the hackles along with the tips of their fibers and then wrap hackles around the shank of the hook.
When the fibers are shorter is difficult to obtain bodies good workmanship.
Wanting to tie this type of bodies and not having CDC hackles with long fibers, I thought to wet the hackles to adhere the fibers to the stem of the hackles.
In that way I was able to get bodies discrete of invoice.
With this kind of body I tie the body of Caddis emerger that derives from the tying concept of my fly pattern R Nymph.
