For tie a CDC emerger, I use the feathers that at the base have cottony fibers. Steps

Step 1

Take a CDC feather and strain the fibers towards the tip.

Create the thorax of the imitation.

Down with the hackle on the chest and tie it on the hook.

Step 6

Holding the feather from the tip, I strain the fibers toward the hook and tie it next eye. Cut excess of feather

Tie the head of fly

Take off fly fron vise and cut the excess of the wings fibers.
