Step 1
Step 1 Put the hook in the vice, run on a base of thread and tie in your eyes.
Step 2
Step 2 Tie in the hot spot marabou on top of the shank.
Step 3
Step 3Turn the fly over and tie in the mouth parts, it should beabout twice the length of the egg sack marabou
Step 4
Step 4 Add a couple of strands of flash on either side of the marabou.
Step 5
Step 5 Tie in two strand of peacock crystal flash on top of the marabou for the antennae. leave this nice and long 2-2.5 times the length of the hook.
Step 6
Step 6 Take two Silli legs and fold them over the thread and tie them down so there are two on each side of the fly.cut them about twice the length of the hook shank.
Step 7
Step 7 Tie your eyes in so that the are about half a shank length behind the bend of the hook. bend the eye stalks so the angle out to the side a bit.
Step 8
step 8 take a bunch of EP fibers and tie in a short section, do not trim the tag.
Step 9
step 9 Fold the rest of the EP fibres back and tie down, try to spread them over the top side of the hook.
Step 10
Step 10 Repeat step 9 with a section of your 2nd colour of EP fibers
Step 11
Step11 continue down the shank repeating stages 9 and 10
Step 12
tep 12When you have filled the shank with EP fibers tie off your thread and trim the body of the fly to a nice shrimpy shape. This is optional, but I recommend it. I always coat the thread wraps at the head and along the underside of the body with some epoxy or Clear Cure Goo to make the fly durable.
