I tie this pattern using a fibers bundle cut off from the stem. You can do this using only the hands, or to make it easier I recommend the use of a tool that everyone can make, using a strip of foam of square section, at least an inch thick and long depending on what is the use, basically a parallelepiped of foam with two bases square and four rectangular faces. We can obtain parallelepipeds of foam of different lenght, the shorter ones will be used to obtain the smaller fibers bundles that we can handle with our fingers, the longer will be used to obtain the bundles needed to create dubbing loop for CDC patterns. After having obtained the parallelepiped by a piece of compact foam, I make a cut of a few millimeters deep along one of the rectangular faces. I make the incision after drawing with a pen a line which divides perfectly in half the face of the parallelepiped. The line drawn with the pen will help me to better locate the incision. Holding a feather of CDC from the tip and the base, I insert it into the incision, so that the fibers are collected togheter, then I lift the fibers with my fingers and I cut flush with the base of the foam, so I have the bundle that I need.

Pasos
Paso 1
Make an incision, which divides in half the face of a foam parallelepiped.
Paso 2
Insert a CDC feather into the incision.
Paso 3
Keeping together the fibers that come out from the incision, I cut flush with the face of the parallelepiped.
Paso 4
The CDC fibers bundle.
Paso 5
Fix the fibers bundle next to the eye of a grub hook, so as to obtain the wings of the fly.
Paso 6
Keeping the excess of the fibers of the wings slightly in tension, I wrap the tying thread spiral up to the lenght of the extended body.
Paso 7
Go back with the tying thread to the base of the wings ever with open spiral wraps of tying thread.
Paso 8
Go front the wings with the thread and then slightly back to make vertical wings, after I tie the head of the fly.
Paso 9
Trim the fibers that exceed from the extended body, leaving 2 or 3 to imitate the tail of the fly.
Paso 10
Trim the tail excess.
