The fly fishing on the Eagle should remain good this week with a big January thaw continuing. Milder temperatures reaching into the 40's will make for better conditions on the Eagle especially on the lower river near Gypsum. The hatches now consist mainly of midges. Small nymphs and emergers trailing an egg pattern fished deep have been the ticket for big fish. Late morning through late afternoon is when fish are feeding.
