I fished Spring Creek in Central Pa with my client Rachel on 6/19/18. An overnight rain shower raised the water level and clouded the stream quite a bit so I chose to start Rachel off using a Sculpin streamer pattern. She concentrated her efforts on the soft water edges where the fish seek refuge from the super strong current. We fished our way downstream and although we had a few nice strikes,we had nothing to show for our efforts.
I changed our set up to a "drop shot" nymphing set up with a size 14 Sulphur nymph and pink Squirmy worm. I had a lot of success with this set up in my scout fishing in the days prior to our trip so I was optimistic with it's potential for Rachel.
