Maine Fishing Adventures LLC

My name is Kevin McKay and I became a Master Maine Guide in 2003. But before that I started one of the largest fly fishing web sites on the east coast. It is dedicated to helping everyone who is new or experienced, to bring out their best when it comes to fly fishing. So it was only natural I became a guide and I haven't looked back.

I am very lucky to have a supporting wife and two boys, who all enjoy this sport as much as I do. Some would say I am addicted to fishing but, it is way more than that, it is my life.

I specialize in fly fishing for smallmouth bass, brook trout and land locked salmon and on occasion northern pike. In 2010, I was asked to join Scott Fly rods and Hatch Reel Pro staffs. I found this to be a great honor because these are two of the highest respected companies  Ver más...in the industry. It is not every day a Maine boy is asked to join so I jumped at the opportunity and they have been great companies to work with.

Also my family has been honored to be in three of Gray Ghost production's fly fishing films starting in 2009. My boys have been in East by North East and my whole family was in The Good Life and the most recent project Turning Tailings:The Atlantic Salmon's Great New Leap, which I had the opportunity to travel to New Brunswick and fish for Atlantic salmon. The film was also selected for The 2013 Fly Fishing Film Tour.

In 2012 I was in the book, The Master's Fly Box: America's Best Anglers Share Their Favorite Trout Flies. The book features Anglers from across the country.

These are just few of the highlights for me but, the biggest is the days I get to spend with my family on the water, fishing.
