Blackfly Lodge started out appropriately enough as an art project. Clint Kemp, native Bahamian, accomplished fishing guide in Nassau and entrepreneur called me one day and asked me if I was interested in doing a series of paintings of the legendary Bahamian guides.

Our fishing zones in South Abaco allow for great fishing regardless of tides or wind direction - from Mores Island, to the marls, to walk-and-wade opportunities on the south shores. Blackfly Lodge guides aim to get anglers to as many of these zones as possible on each trip. Each of these zones is unique and we have some of the best fishing for Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon available in the world.
Blackfly Lodge in Abaco is probably one of the easiest lodges in the Bahamas to get to. Just 1 1/2 hours away from the U.S. mainland, Abaco is serviced by several airlines with direct flights into Marsh Harbor.
There are direct flights from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, W. Palm Beach, Orlando and New Smyrna.
