Each lake offers a unique challenge for the angler and a beautiful vista for the explorer. The Caverhill area fishery is totally natural with no stocking programs or hatchery fish. The Kamloops rainbow trout , famous for its strength, stamina and aerial displays is the only type of fish found in these lakes.
The fifteen lakes are accessed by a well marked trail system. Hikes to the lakes range from five minutes to one hour. Only half an hour of gentle hiking provides access to Caverhill’s best fly fishing and a fly fishing trip to remember.

Wild Kamloops rainbow trout of any size will provide you with a fight to remember. Fish range in size from twelve to twenty two inches. The size of fish varies from lake to lake. Guests generally enjoy a day of consistent activity followed by a day of a few big ones. We encourage guests to keep only fish that are fifteen inches or smaller. Larger fish are released to enjoy catching again. There is very little fishing pressure on these lakes hence fish are almost always willing to play.

The fishing cabins are surrounded by nature at its best. The forest trails are well marked and lined with wild flowers and mushrooms. Giant boulders and mossy glades sheltered by towering trees create a path to the lake chosen for the day. Trails meander up to the top of a rocky bluff for a view of the lake below, the perfect spot for lunch and a nap.
The lakes vary in size from three miles long to just 20 acres. It is in small lakes that the Kamloops Rainbow trout thrives. Depths vary from 20 feet to 60 feet deep. Caverhill Lake is fun to explore and offers some pretty good fishing. Three kayaks and a canoe are available for your use as well as the motor boats. Should the weather warm up, a refreshing dip in Caverhill will set your heart racing.
Caverhill Fly Fishing Lodge is equipped with an ice house for storing ice to keep your beer chilled. A traditional wood heated sauna scented with eucalyptus is available to warm cold bones and stiff muscles. A horse shoe throwing pit is available for some old fashioned fun.
