Whether a beginner, intermediate or expert, float with an experienced guide down the Bitterroot River, or its West Fork or East Fork for a memorable day of trout fishing. Fly Fishing Always guides are renown in the valley for their historic and extensive knowledge of these waters. These ORVIS endorsed guides are experts on the hatches and proper flies to use, whether it’s an old faithful such as Big Freddy or whatever it might take to catch the big fish. In order to protect and preserve the stream-bred trout of the Bitterroot’s blue-ribbon waters, all fishing is catch and release. Your guide will meet you in the Activity Center of the lodge at your scheduled time. Some guides have boat dogs. If you would prefer not to have a boat dog, please let us know upon booking your trip. Half day and full day guided river floats are priced from $370 – $460 with a 50% deposit due on advance bookings. A 30 day cancellation fee is enforced. A Montana Fishing License is required for fishing on the river, and our Activity Coordinators will be happy to help you procure one. Availability is somewhat flexible with as little as a day’s notice, though we recommend you reserve trip(s) in advance to ensure a preferred guide or a preferred day. A full day trip runs from 9:30am to 4:00/5:00pm. Half day trips depart at either 8:30am or 1:30pm. Guides will meet guests in the Activity Center at their scheduled time.
