For over 140 years, Little Lyford Lodge & Cabins has provided visitors an authentic outdoor experience in central Maine's expansive Moosehead Lake region. Fly fish the West Branch of the Pleasant River or hike your way up to Laurie's Ledge on Indian Mountain for stunning views. Relax or play as long as you like; delicious homemade meals and hot showers will be waiting for you back at the lodge.

Escape to the heart of Maine's 100-Mile Wilderness, where wild brook trout and landlocked salmon are plentiful in the backcountry ponds and rivers at AMC's Maine Wilderness Lodges near Moosehead Lake. At our unique, off-the-grid sporting lodges, you'll find easy access to stream fishing on the West Branch of the Pleasant River, or take to the water in canoes available to guests on more than 22 ponds.
Peak season for fly fishing in the Maine Woods is during the cooler days of May, June, and September. Fly rods may be rented by guests at Medawisla Lodge and Cabins, Gorman Chairback Lodge and Little Lyford Lodge at the rate of $25/day or $25/program for workshop participants. Please make this request when making your lodging reservation.
Little Lyford Lodge & Cabins offers a spectacular location "off the grid" on 66,000 acres of forestland permanently conserved by AMC. The lodge is drive-in during the summer and fall, and accessible by ski or dogsled in winter.
Accommodations include nine individual private cabins sleeping 1-6 people, with a combination of doubles and bunk beds. Each cabin has a porch, a woodstove, and gas lamps for year-round use, as well as cold running water in during the summer and fall.
A separate, shared, co-ed bunkhouse can accommodate 12 guests.
The central bathhouse, conveniently located near the main lodge, has composting toilet and hot showers year-round, as well as a wood-heated sauna available in wintertime.

Little Lyford welcomes well-behaved dogs to stay in their owners' cabin for a $10/night fee (fee excludes service dogs). Maximum of 2 dogs per cabin.
