Located along major waterfowl migratory routes, the lodge offers excellent duck and goose hunting at their private pond with three hunting blinds. The nearby Bear Tooth Wildlife Management Area, Sleeping Giant and Gates of the Mountains Game Preserve provide classic Montana deer and elk hunting. Additional recreation opportunities include canoeing, boating on nearby Holter Lake, mountain biking, hiking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing.
A renovated barn, the lodge has four bedrooms, each with its own bath and a balcony that provides a spectacular view of the Missouri River and Big Belt Mountains. In addition to the bedrooms, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a large mud/equipment room and an enormous great room in the old hay loft with fireplace and billiards table.

View more...ish-per-Mile” study was conducted in October of 2010; the results of that study found that there were over 2,800 fish per mile in the Craig, MT stretch of the Missouri River. Of those 2,800 fish, 78 percent of the population is greater than 16 inches; 65 percent is greater than 17 inches and 49 percent are greater than 18 inches. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks stated that high flows in the river in 2009 and 2010 and the end of a decade-long drought in 2008 helped keep fish numbers high. The Missouri continues to be one of the best tailwater fishing in the United States, and the Missouri River ranch has over a mile of private river frontage for your enjoyment.

It is a 10 minute walk from the Lodge to the river on our private road. Once there, we have approximately 1.3 miles of river frontage, enabling guests to wade or even fish from the shore thanks to gently sloping banks. Ask about the ability to launch or take out your drift boat from the Ranch's riverbank, providing an extra measure of convenience for the dedicated angler.
The Missouri River is world-renowned for its dry fly fishing, particularly for large rainbow and brown trout. The latest “Fish-per-Mile” study was conducted in October of 2015; the results of that study found that there were over 4,000 rainbow trout fish per mile in the Craig, MT stretch of the Missouri River. In some of the slower moving stretches and the reservoirs upstream of the Ranch, you can fish for walleye, carp, and whitefish.

The lodge offers all of the amenities you would expect to find at the Missouri River’s premier destinations. The lodge has 10 spacious guest rooms which either step out onto a 1800 square foot shared riverview deck or your private balcony; an open kitchen where you can converse with our chef as he prepares gourmetappetizers and you enjoy our four-season dining deck with views of the Wild Missouri and surrounding mountains.
