The fishing around Yes Bay Lodge has been defined as an almost religious experience! Yes Bay sits in a very unique location with boat rides to prime fishing spots around 20-25 minutes at the most. Sometimes the best spot is right at the mouth of the Bay an under 10 minute ride. Your professional guide will know what species are running and where to give you the most opportunity to get your limit. We fish for 4 species of salmon, halibut and ling cod and several species of nice rock fish. We are also the only Alaska Lodge that features two fisherman per boat, this assures you the personal attention that Yes Bay Lodge is famous for!

Your Guide will be featuring Lamiglas rods and smooth, dependable Penn reels for trolling. Stout Lamiglas halibut rods and Penn reels are the tools you’ll use for large bottom fish. With only 2 guests per boat/guide you are assured your ideal fishing adventure with your Yes Bay Lodge Fishing Guide.
A TYPICAL DAY – TOUR AT YES BAY LODGE
Fishing boat idling on lakeYour tour begins in your home town with flights to arrive in Ketchikan Alaska between 3:00 and 4:30 pm. You will be met at the airport by staff members from our airline – Pirate Airworks.
The Pirate staff will direct you to the float plane dock and transport your luggage down to the dock, where you will board one of our float planes for the short 30 minute scenic flight to the Lodge.
You will arrive at the Lodge and be met on the dock by our Lodge Crew in time for a wonderful dinner and time to meet your guide and discuss your goals to make your Alaska Adventure everything you expected.
A few things to go over with your guide – We strive to custom tailor your vacation to meet your expectations for Your Alaska Adventure! We offer salt water fishing for salmon, halibut, rock fish and other species, or you can choose to spend a day or half day stream fishing in one of the local streams or you can choose to fly to one of the high mountain lakes in the area for some fishing, hiking or exploring. There are also trips to local hot springs, the hatchery for bear viewing ( seasonal – typically August). Or you can focus on catching that one trophy Alaska fish you have been dreaming about – make sure you discuss your expectations with your Guide, he/she is your key to your Alaska Adventure!
