Esteban Urban - SouthernLoops Fly Fishing

I would wholly and heartily recommend Estaban and his operation to anyone wishing to have a spectacular week in the Patagonia. Ever detail and need is well thought out and timely. I will try and visit every year as long as I can and can't wait to come back sometime soon.

I have been on many trips with many guides. Esteban gave me the experience of a lifetime! His knowledge, his fly tying, his patience, his determination to give us the best trip possible were all unmatched. He planning was very detailed, but he was also able to adapt to changing conditions. His ability to adapt was impressive. In the end, I had an unforgettable experience in Patagonia and caught my personal best. I have to also give a shout out to his assistant Fausto. I feel like I left Argentina with two new friends for life!

Esteban grew up fishing and guiding his local waters. His experience gives his clients an advantage and prospective that you can't find any place else. He will put you on them and the rest is up to you.

He's also very good at teaching and instructing all levels of fly fishers. On my first trip with him, he had my wife, beginner, casting and catching quality trout. It had a big long lasting impact on her as she still loves to fly fish thanks to Esteban.

Esteban also does a great job in customizing trips for you. Whether you are on a tight budget or prefer to have a more premium trip with 4 star accommodations, he can formulate a plan that is custom and meets even the most experienced clients.

Nuestra experiencia con Esteban fue excelente, nos guió dos veces, fuimos con mi gran amigo Santiago Vidaurreta.
Todo fue muy bien a partir de los contactos previos, coordinación de fecha y horarios, recomendación de equipos, análisis de lugares y alternativas, etc.
Y luego, la permanente disposición para enseñar, corregir, explicar -todas las veces que fue necesario, muchas en mi caso-, logrando excepcionales días de pesca, acompañados con excelentes bebida, comidas y equipos de primera calidad (camioneta, bote, lancha, etc.). Muy buen humor, buenas charlas, un gran programa. Absolutamente recomendable.

Had the pleasure of floating (4) days with Southern Loops and Esteban in January 2020. Esteban's attention to the customer experience is excellent and he is an excellent guide who knows his waters well. He did a great job adapting to our individual fishing styles and level of guidance. He's got a great sense of humor...we had some serious laughs on the boat. The shore lunches were incredible and he even cooked up some steaks one day! We definitely want to come back and we wouldn't bother looking for another outfit. Coming back and working with Southern Loops would be an easy choice.

Uso los servicios de guia en Patagonia Norte de Southern Loops desde 2018. Tuve oportunidad de pescar en flotadas por los rios Collon Cura y Chimehuin, ademàs de los lagos Lolog y Tromen. Nunca dejarà de sorprenderme el expertise, profesionalidad y bonhomia de Esteban Urban y su gente. Siempre se puede contar con ellos para hermosos y entretenidos dias de pesca. El servicio que ofrecen es de primera linea, excelentes equipos, y el servicio de comida sobresale porque parece estar hecho a medida para los deseos de cada uno. Por otra parte, siempre se puede contar con que saldremos sabiendo un poco más sobre el apasionante arte de la pesca con mosca despues de cada salida. Obviamente pienso seguir repitiendo la experiencia con Southern Loops.

Hicimos con Esteban dos flotadas, una en el Collon Cura y otra el el lago Lolog. Muy buena actitud, el servicio impecable!!. Tuvimos suerte con la cantidad y calidad de piezas, con streamer en el río y con secas en el lago. Además de la buena pesca, buena charla y gran compañía. Recomendable 100%

con poco tiempo viaje relampago y me soluciono lo que para mi era mi unico posible dia de pesca resumiendo dia expectacular servicio de primera siempre la paso bien con esteban espero volver a flotar pronto abrazos roberto

Genial guia. Pasamos un dia pescando el Rio Malleo, siendo principiante con paciencia me fue ayudando a pescar. Ademas un gran tipo. Muy recomendable.

Hemos pasado 3 días geniales de pesca e inmejorable servicio. Experiencia única
